inspired by the plentiful use of candlelight during a trip to Deer Isle in 2016, I began making ceramic candleholders in my community pottery studio. Often treasuring meals and time spent with friends on front porches, picnic tables, and in small spaces, I wanted to provide candle holders that could be easily transported and placed in any setting — thus providing a certain special type of warmth, luminosity, and wondrous feeling which is often experienced when sitting near candlelight. I hope you may enjoy them as much as I enjoy making them.
